Circulating Memory and the Deadspot Acrobat

Hear Circulating Memory and the Deadspot Acrobat

This is the product of trying to create a house mix for the last four months. The tracks, mixing, etc, all were scrapped a number of times, the project was abandoned, restarted [repeat]. At any rate, it started to come together in early ’01, and this is the finished product. You’ll notice I’ve started encoding my mixes with at least one signature blemish so you know I’m not editing them. 🙂

For lovers of Chicago house, this is your mix. If you know your stuff, you’ll see this worked out as an homage to the label that first explained house music to me. This label also helped me to bridge what seemed like an enormous gulf between Detroit and Chicago. This one clocks in at just under an hour.
